My Story

In 1991 and 1995 I had cancer scares. I remember being wheeled into the OR on the cold metal gurney thinking “What if I get bad news? What will that mean? Have I lived as I wanted to? If it’s time to die am I ready?” I asked those questions both times.

Then in 1998 I decided it was time to start helping others to answer those questions, and to provide loving support in their process. That's when I began my hospice training and started assisting patients and their families through their end-of-life journey.

In 2003 my father asked me to support him through his death process, and I did the same for my mother in 2018. Such great honors.

Here are a few info bits about me:

• 40 years studying and practicing indigenous mindfulness and mysticism (Peruvian and Native American shamanism, Tibetan Buddhism & mysticism, Reiki, Egyptian mystery school techniques, Hindu Polytheism & Raja Yoga sutras), including 7 years as a Buddhist monk
• Selected by the Dalai Lama to assist him in his 2010 tour and help support the public and His Holiness
• INELDA provided my EOL Doula training, and I am EOLPC trained in psychedelic care. I am master-level certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Reiki. I am the Reiki trainer for By The Bay Health, the largest non-profit hospice in the SF Bay Area.
• I am affiliated with UCSF Palliative Care and receive most of my referrals from By The Bay Health and ANX Hospice.
• I am fascinated by systems, which drew me to be an engineer in the early days of Microsoft and Apple. I use this same mindset to navigate the energy systems of the human body and emotions to help clients release pain and fear.
• In my more recent career as an executive coach I’ve assisted 2 USA Presidents (Clinton and Bush), 8 billionaires, and over 1,000 companies to navigate profound growth and change. I know how to navigate stressful and complex situations, which often arise at end of life.
